Knighton Historic Vehicle Club Raises £170 for Shropshire Rural Support

Fri Jun 5th, 2026

Members of the Knighton Historic Vehicle Club have raised £170 for Shropshire Rural Support during a recent road run.

The club paused their journey for a brief photo opportunity in front of National Trust's Attingham Hall before continuing on to Home Farm Attingham, where members enjoyed complimentary tea and cake.

The event formed part of the club’s organised road run, bringing together enthusiasts and historic vehicle owners for a day of shared driving and socialising across the local area.

During the visit, the club also made a generous donation of £170 to Shropshire Rural Support, contributing to the charity’s ongoing work supporting rural communities.

Testimonials

When I retired I looked around to see how I could help local farmers as they battled with the ups and downs of farming and running their family businesses. As a volunteer with Shropshire Rural Support, I feel I can really help farmers who need someone to talk to who understands their situation. I find it rewarding to give a bit back to a way of life that has served me well and I love.
